Spencer Carey originally affiliated with Capital Research Partners in 2020 as a high school intern from Staples High School, where he was a tutor, captain of the varsity squash team, and president of the Connecticut chapter of the Joshua's Heart Foundation. During this time, he assisted in organizing the CRM and other technical duties. He has reaffiliated with CRP as an analyst intern for the summer of 2021, where he conducts due diligence on industries and prospective buyers and seller

He is currently attending New York University in the class of 2024 with an intended major in economics and minor in computer science.​
